This hack will only work for DVDs not Blu-ray discs however there are only 3 zones not 6 as in DVDs. (e.g. Australia and Europe same region for Blu-rays) Anyway, turn on your TV and put it to your AV input or HDMI source to view your BD/DVD player then; - Step 1: open and close the disk tray (with no disk inside) - Step 2: when "No Disc" appears on top left of TV screen check "Play Disc" Icon is still highlighted, as I initially found the highlight moved right to the "Play Photo" icon so I moved it back to the "Play Disc icon" then - Step 3: press the repeat button (which is the button on the bottom row under the yellow button) then 7 6 8 8 4 - AUSTRALIA ONLY - see below - Step 4: when done correctly, your region appears on screen (top LHS), mine was 4. - Step 5: when it disappears press 9 for region free - Step 6: press power off button For Other regions, substitute the number in step 2 with the relevant code below. 1 — 2 9 3 3 4 2 — 5 7 5 3 8 3 — 5 6 7 3 2 4 — 7 6 8 8 4 5 — 5 3 8 1 4 6 — 2 4 4 6 2 Good luck :) | |||
