This is regarding a BD D5700 purchased in Canada with the AK59-00123A remote control. I've tried many attempts at the following for this player: 1. Power On 2. Press "STOP" on remote ( have pressed this at different times during the "Loading ..." message and the "No Disc" message. 3. Then region code 2,9,3,3,4 I've yet to see any code flash in the top left corner. I'm struggling with this as I've relocated from Australia to Canada and can't watch any of my 100s of DVDs purchased in Australia on this player ... I'm sure there are many other cases so if anyone can help to convert the player to multi-region it would be a GREAT help, Thanks! | |||

UPDATE: I have managed to display the firmware info etc by: 1. Turn on player with remote 2. Open disc tray 3. Press "INFO" for a few seconds This could be the beginning of the process required. Any luck elsewhere? | |||

Country Code - My player was factory setup for continental US, not PR and only five channels of TV would load. Samsung's instructions were: Using remote, press >> enter 289 select country press << DONE This allowed SmartHub to load all the channels. | |||

I have tried the posts given in other forums using REPEAT button but it does not work for me for BD-D5700. I know that remote that comes along does not have REPEAT button but I managed to program it on Logitech Harmony remote. But this still does not work for me. Any hacks available for BD-D5700 yet ? | |||
