Sorry to say this, but the hack is embedded in the preferences screen - and it's hardly a hack. Under the on-screen preferences, then TV type, choose your own region. Just stay away from "Multi" and "PAL". Choosing NTSC will enable your machine to play pretty well any region. Don't know why. Peace. | |||

A user called Lamia (gil57@hotmail.com orlambofgod_gorka@hotmail.com) said that it is possible to change the region code by: 1) Power on the DVD. 2) Press the SELECT button for about 10 secs. 3) Use the VOL+ and VOL- to change the Region Code. I did not try this hack myself! If you have this DVD Model (RCA RTD155) and you are able to confirm that, please do so and post some feedback here. | |||
