I spent some time looking around for a hack for this player and then, on a whim, tried out one of my PAL/Region 2 discs. It worked just fine out of the box with no hack. This portable DVD player appears to be multi-system and region-free out of the box. I bought this at Best Buy, so I am surprised. Isn't there some law against selling region-free DVD players? | |||

This is not the case with the Polaroid PDV 0700 I just purchased. It stubbornly refuses to play non- Region 1 discs. | |||
