- Remove any disc in the tray - Press the Setup on the remote control - Move over to GENERAL using the arrow keys - Select BASIC, press DISPLAY (This will display your region and firmware version). - Press CONDITION/MEMORY (nothing is displayed or changed on the screen). - Press the REGION # required (i.e. 2 for Region 2 etc). - Press MENU to store. Use the service remote GGF1067. (If you don't have the remote — download codes at http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/codes/pioneer/cld-v2600/ or download a Novii Remote database for your PDA at http://genjit.su/file/Pioneer_GGF1067.pdb — the Novii database has a Hints tab with fully automatic region selection buttons!) To change the region, press: ESC, >>x3 (aka "3x fast search", NOT "press forward 3 times"). A region list will appear on the left, and SELECTED will be printed against the current region. Press the number button of the region you would like to use. The word SELECTED will move to the new region and begin to blink. Press PLAY to confirm the new region. Press ESC to close the region list. This worked for me on the DVL-9, the predecessor to the DVL-909. Sadly, it isn't possible to make this player play PAL DVD's, as it seems :( | |||
