Try this hack - I am going to tonight. Multi-Region: Turn On unit and remove any disc in the tray Press the Setup button on the remote control. Move over to General using the arrow keys Select Basic Press Display - this will display your region and firmware version. Press Condition/Memory (nothing is displayed or changed on the screen) Press the Region # required (i.e. 2 for Region 2 etc) Press Menu to store | |||

To hack the DV-444 You`ll have to install the "keymaster" chip.(www.codefree.dk)I bought my player after reading about possible hacks on this page and only later discovered that these hacks work ONLY after the installation of the chip. Advice - try the hack yourself before making any decisions. There is no remote operated hack for this player. | |||
