Power up the Pioneer BDP-180 with no disc in the drive. Click the Home button and from there scroll down to select "Initial Setup". From the Initial Settings screen enter the following on the remote. 8 5 2 0. This should bring up a dialog box for BUDA Information. Scroll down to the box BD Region Code (use the down arrow key). On my player it has a "B" (I am in Asia Pacific region) if you press the EXIT button this will clear this box. Use Return to exit through the menus. Power off your player, insert your 'unknown disc' disc, and it should play. Did for me from a genuine purchase from Amazon that wouldn't play. Not impressed. No hint either of any way to do this. Saw http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2619696 with notes on a Toshiba BD1200 and fluked it (sorry not a NEO all though everyone I tell thinks I am because I hacked it all by myself). | |||

As mentioned before by another person, there is no exit button on the remote, as such I can not change the value.... |
