Tries all suggested hacks but none work. Nothing happens when in DVD mode (tray open or closed) and pressing on r/c 9 7 3 5. No hand signals appear on screen. No Region Code Menu Appears. i.e. Hack does not work on the MCD-139B (MCD139B/12) NB: MCD139B/12 doesn't have a tray, but a door that opens upwards. Any ideas PLEASEEEEEE? | |||

Hack from Peter_Co works great, cheers. Press on r/c 'Stop', 7 3 4 4 6 6 then 0, 'OK' and set to Stby. | |||

Used the Peter_Co hack on MCD139/79 Perfect! From remote control PRC-500A Select Mode: DVD Open the Top-mounted Door Display: OPEN Press the remote control buttons in order of: ^ STOP ^ 7 ^ 3 ^ 4 ^ 4 ^ 6 ^ 6 You will arrive at the Region Selection Screen. Use the Up/Down-Arrow buttons on the remote to scroll through regions. Scroll to Region "0" ^ OK ^ STBY by pressing remote control's Power button Close the Door. | |||
