I've just tried this on my Xmas present and it works perfectly. Just make sure you press the "0" straight after the "9999". An on-screen display will show "region 0" to confirm. I've tested it on CD, Region 1 & 2 DVD's, DVD-R and a DVD-R slideshow. They all work fine. Many Thanks, Lee

This worked for me too, but I had trouble at the start. I think you need to start the player with no disc in, and wait for it to give you the "NO DISC" message. Then eject the drive and try the code. I was being impatient which I think was my initial downfall.

Power up the set and open tray in DVD mode. Press <9999> follow by <X> buttons on the Remote control. where x = numeric 1 to 6 denoting the regions below: 1 = USA 2 = Europe 3 = Asia Pacific 4 = Australia, New Zealand, Latam 5 = Russia, India 6 = China This is taken from the original service manual for the reciever. |
