Actualy it works, all you have to do is change the preset configs. Don't ask me but some how I have mannage to make my region 2 player, play both region 1 ntsc and region 2 pal. If I can find out how I did that I will post. | |||

- power on - open cover - press button "Disc Menu" REMOTE - press 5 times button "Cursor up" REMOTE - go to Configuration, press "OK" REMOTE - select your needed code, press "OK" REMOTE - press "Return" REMOTE If you will play an other DVD with an other Region Code, you have to change again the configuration | |||

it works fine on my JackRabbit, there's a slight difference: I have to press 4 times (not 5) the button "Cursor up" on the remote I will buy a Region 5 DVD (Russia) soon and try it... I have the latest firmware, I upgraded it because it was only capable of reading DVD+RW now it reads +R, +RW, -R, -RW !! | |||

I have gone into the hidden menu and changed the region to watch a US dvd, but my question is: Can I change it as many times as I want or will it lock up at some stages. The salesman, told me that when you use it on your laptop after five times changing region, which the laptop does automatically it will lock itself on the last region. Is this true? | |||
