Hi Everyone, Please follow these steps to apply this RFCH (Region Free Code hack)using the Philips systems remote for the: Philips Home Theatre System (HTS) 5550. Step 1: Open the disc tray of the player. Step 2: Ensure you see the disc tray "Open" icon on your television. Step 3: Now using the Philips systems remote enter the following numbers in the same sequence quickly. They are: 99990. Step 4: Close the disc tray of the player with a DVD from a different region other than where you bought the player. The Philips HTS 5550 should now play a disc from any region in the world. Step 5: If you do not have a DVD from a different region other than your DVD player for testing out this hack, then this is what you should do. When you reach "Step 4", close the disc tray of the player but this time without any DVD in it. Wait for the player to display the message "No Disc" on the television. Switch off the Philips HTS 5550 & power it on again. Whenever you get another DVD from any different region it will play. Step 6: Congratulations!! You are now region free. Regards to all. | |||
