Purchased the DVP-5992 at Costco and I've confirmed the above Region code hack, which happens to be the same for all current Philips DVD players. :) | |||

I can confirm this Hack works. I bought this DVD at Costco, Piebroke, FL, brought to Brazil and aplied the hack. I now can see my Region 4 movies. So easy that is increadible. The DVD Player was US$49.99 at Costco. The same one is US$149.99 at Brazilian Duty Free shop at airport. A rip off! | |||
