I can confirm the hack for the 3680/F7 (purchased at BB). I added a few helpful details. 1. Power ON the DVD player with no disc inside 2. Go to the SETUP icon and press OK; next, go to Preferences and press OK 3. With preferences highlighted, 3a. Press NEXT CHAPTER (button above AUDIO, it looks like this: >|), 3b. I just bought the Phillips DVP3690K which is supposed to be pre set to all regions. However it would not play, until I used the hack shown in this thread for the DVP3680 and set region to 0. Apparently it is still a software setting, and the setting was not initialized at the factory | |||
