	The following hack for the Philips DVP 3042 worked on my new DVP 3046, purchased in India. Region code hack posted by jcn50, August 15 2006: Press "Setup" and go to "PREFERENCES" (DVD stopped and player opened) Scroll to "PBC" using the LEFT/RIGHT arrow key Press "138931" and a pop-up screen will appear. Use the UP/DOWN arrow key to choose the desired number. Select your Zone!

	This works.......... YOu can do this with the remote... switch the player on....(eject the disc already in)..keep the drive open. Now using the remote go to Setup-->Preferances-->PBC--> in there move the control to the on and of using the left and right arrows.(Just keeping it on the PBC option wont work.) press....138931... and a menu pops up....with the region codes..... select the one you want with the up and down arrow keys ...and walla...you have changed the region code...... i prefer 0 as it plays all regions..
