The standard hack functioning with other players from the DVDR34xx series applies for this one as well: - Power on - Open tray - Press 0 0 8 6 0 0 0 on remote - Press OK Power off after change with Remote control. The screen does not show anything though, and I could not verify with '0009'. Nevertheless a DVD which was first reported by the player as having the wrong region code, played flawlessly after the hack. | |||

This worked on my dvdr3460h (250gb drive) But as stated there are no on screen displays or region menus to say it done etc. I put in a R1 dvd and it would not play (on screen saying wrong code) I then ejected the dvd, entered the 0086000 pressed ok, then pushed back in the dvd and it played ok. Also still fine after a power off/on. | |||

DVD tray must be empty Turn the recorder on Switch to DVD mode Open DVD tray Press ‘Play’ & ‘159 064 135 124 255’ & ‘Play’ as fast as possible. Turn off the recorder. Power on again, your machine's region free now. | |||

Simply... *power on *open tray *type on the remote: 0 0 8 6 0 0 0 *press ok *power off restart the dvd recorder and you now have a region free(plays ALL) dvds!!!! This worked for my Philips DVDR-3450H, I have a german model that I bought from MediaMarkt here in Germany. Good Luck. | |||

(It's nowhere noted, so I'll just add it...) the 0-0-8-6-0-0-0 code worked perfectly, but you have to "type" it in rather fast, if you do it slow, it won't work... btw. : I have a DVDR 3450H (160GB)meant for Slovakia bought in the Czech Republic (it was cheaper, because it didn't have a manual in czech language) | |||
