Confirming the 0086000 hack. However please note that it is necessary to power off the machine, using the power button on the remote, after entering the code. (I tried it several times using the power button on the unit, and failed!) After that, and subsequent power-on, the unit will then be region-free. I tested unplugging and replugging the AC cord, and the region-free status remained. | |||

THE ABOVE HACK WORKS LIKE A CHARM,BUT YOU DO HAVE TO POWER OFF THE UNIT WITH THE REMOTE AS THE LAST ONE SAYS,OTHERWISE THE HACK WILL NOT TAKE.ALSO WITH THE USE OF A SIMA CT-2 DIGITAL STABILIZER YOU HAVE A REGION FREE/MACROVISION FREE RECORDER THAT IS AWESOME FOR THE PRICE. | |||
