The home.hccnet.nl link no longer works (and the main page is all in Dutch anyway). This page gives great & thorough instructions for numerous Philips players (including the Q50) - http://www.regionfreedvd.net/player/philips.html You WILL need an RC6 Code Generator for Philips and you can build your own for about $3 by following these directions - http://www.ziplabel.com/cir/index.html . Also, there is a good forum site that can help you with building an infrared transceiver - http://regionhacks.datatestlab.com/cgi- ... 343#000000 I wound up buying an OneForAll Universal Remote that has an RC6 Code Generator built-in (Model # URC8810w, but others will work). I plan to return the OneForAll and build my own Generator soon to have as a backup. The Q50 is now Region-FREE and I'm loving it! | |||
