	This DVD player is hackable with the 'standard' Philips handset hack. (You will need a 'universal' remote control, such as the One-For-All URC-7562 model to carry out this hack.) Set up the universal remote handset with code 0539. With the remote, send the 'RC6' code to the DVD player by pressing the following keys, in oredr: 'MAGIC' 085 When the dashes appear ('-----------'), enter the following code: 222 222 005 255 Then press 'PLAY' and the machine should reset itself and the display will read "no disc". 	Philips SBC RU880 (=Philips universal remote)) • Set remote for DVD • Push on the keys 1 and 6 during 5 seconds. • The display of the RC indicates SYNTH. • Loosen the keys. • The display of the RC indicates CODE. • Hit 235. • The display on the DVD player with changes into this - - - - - - - ---- • Then enter with the the normal RC the code 222 222 005 255 followed by PLAY Check it myself and it works!

	I'd like to confirm the hack with the Philips SBC RU 880 remote control. Tried in on a German DVD 723 (RC2 originally), it now plays RC1 DVDs as well. Thanks Lennie!
