This is for the Philips DCP 951 portable DVD player. Press SETUP on the remote control. Press 9 6 5 3. You should see your Region code displayed on the top right side of the screen. Use the arrow keys on the remote control to set your preferred region code. Set it to 0 if you wish it to be code/region free. Then hit the setup key again. You should be all set. | |||

I bought the USA version DCP951/37. To use this at home in europe I tried the hack as available for the older types DCP 850/851/852. So I can now confirm this works fine: Press SETUP on the remote control. Press 9 6 5 3. You should see your Region code displayed on the top right side of the screen. Use the arrow keys on the remote control to set your preferred region code. As I could not exit the menu, I pressed the OFF buttun. Region change works fine. | |||
