Power on and open tray Using the remote, enter Audio, 1, 9, 8, 2, Subtitle, Pause, 0 The display will show the text "on" after you have entered 0. You may have the same problem as me and have a small remote that does not have a separate Pause button (i.e. it is a play/pause button). Hitting this button wont work, it will just close the DVD caddy and try to play whatever is there. The way I got around this problem was to use a generic remote and program it to a Panasonic DVD, then repeated the sequence above but used the Pause button on this remote. If you dont have a generic remote then maybe try the frame button. I have a hunch that this will work, but I didn't get to test it out. Apparently this should also work for the S38, but I have not tried this. | |||

The new Panasonic DVD players DVD-S38 & DVD-S58 have a different way of being multizoned. An extra Panasonic remote is required ie: from TV or home theatre: Power On, Tray Open. Using remote control included press: Audio, 1, 9, 8, 2. Press Subtitle. Using another Panasonic remote press Pause. On the remote included, press 0. 'On' will be displayed on the unit. |
