Ditto to Andrew CJ, there is no shift button, has there been a problem with the translation here? About the 4 digit number, which number do you refer to? Or as in my case being a region 1 DVD, do I just precede "1" with "000"? PLease clarify anyone. Will the hack work with region 1? | |||

This hack doesn't work, there is no setup button on the remote and after translating it it's not part of the original instruction anyway. This simply adjusts the audio it's not related to the DVD region coding. | |||

The following works on a region 4 player. With no disc in the player and the drawer closed, press stop, stop, setup, then 3,8,8,8,3 and the desired region code, (0 for multiregion). Nothing will appear on screen. Then switch the player off and back on. It should now play discs for any region. | |||
