this is not confirmed I found it on a site selling the player. It said it was for the S25S. Region Free hack 1. Turn the DVD player on 2. Hit Setup on the remote control 3. Press 8888 4. Press Next button ( >>| ) 5. "Version" menu should show up on the Screen 6. Select "Version" menu, select "Region Code" and choose 0 by pressing the down arrow on your remote. 7. Click Setup to exit | |||

Region Free...YES!!! Confirmed to work for the Panasonic DVD-S23P!!! Which should also work with the DVD-S25P since the s23 and s25 are in the same lineup. (and possible others since this can also be used for the s42, s52, s49, s295!!!)... Goto here and read about how to, http://www.dcevolution.net/panasonic/index.php?op ... ;Itemid=54 I used a Palm IIIxe running Omniremote ver 2.01 and the PanasonicRegionHack.pdb found at the site. Very simple after you get the IR source up and running. You can hit 10 buttons in sequence or use the macro that will do the 10 steps for you....Other programmable IR sources can also be used..... Had a region 1 machine and now I can play region 2 DVD's...I dont have any other regions DVD's but I would think that would not be a problem now..... If you try and get a "FT02" error on the players display, just press "Cancel" on the DVD's original remote and the player will reset itself, then try again... | |||

My S25 won't play region 2 discs. Just says "no play." And when I try the instructions, nothing is appearing on any screens for me to select "region" or anything. :( | |||
