Region-free hack (for DVD playback only) performed using an older OneforAll remote model URC-3450/3451. The procedure used is practically the same as for the DP-UB320. Tested on an Australian R4-locked unit. On the OneforAll remote: 1. Press DVD 2. Press and hold the 'magic' button until the red power button flashes twice 3. Enter 0490 --------------- 4. Press and hold the 'magic' button until the red power button flashes twice 5. Enter 994. The red power button should flash twice 6. Press the 'magic' button again (but don't hold it down). The red power button should flash once 7. Enter 00191 8. Press 1 (the power button will flash twice) ---------------- 9. REPEAT STEPS 4-6 10. Enter 00120 11. Press 2 (the power button will flash twice) ---------------- 12. REPEAT STEPS 4-6 13. Enter 00065 14. Press 3 (the power button will flash twice) ---------------- 15. REPEAT STEPS 4-6 16. Only known to work for Blu-ray playback of Zone B discs in a Zone A player purchased in the summer of 2022 in the USA. 1. Let the player attempt to play the Zone B Blu-ray. 2. It will fail with the words "STOP" in the front display. 3. Press the "Top Menu" button on the report control twice. 4. In a few seconds, the main menu will appear (skipping all the screens beforehand). Similar hack will skip all the screens before the main screen for Zone A Blu-ray's too! When the first screen appears, press "Stop" and let the disc spin down. Then pick up at step #3 for the same result! | |||
