Region 1 Blu-rays playable in region 2: Incredibly simple: When "This disc cannot be played in this region" text appears, press "Top menu" button, or stop and then top menu button. Then Disc-menu opens, and disc can be played. Doesn´t work on dvd, for me. Worked on Vestron Video collectors series Waxwork/waxwork II and Lair of the white worm and Criterions Complete Zatoichi Boxset. | |||

Do note that the hack listed above by Niels Andersen will work for most discs BUT NOT all of them. You may encounter some region B discs (if in the US) that this menu trick wont work for. I have a feeling it has more to do with the way the disc was authored rather than the machine doing something special (like not putting in a user prohibitive option so it allows you to jump the menu screens whereas some disc have that option blocked so the menu trick wont work) | |||
