I bought Norcent DP-302V Serial no. starting with HE511.... from Amazon site and was successfully able to Hack it. Follow the following steps. Hope this is helpful. 1. Power off the Main Power switch on the DVD player itself. 2. Switch back the Power on the DVD player. 3. Make sure no disc is loaded. 4. Using your Remote control press Open/close button once (Red button). 5. Press Setup button (You'll see the setup screen) 6. Press 8 four times ( 8888 ) 7. Press "Next" (>>| button i.e. chapter change button) 8. The setup screen flashes and you'll see that a new button "Version" appears on the screen. 9. Select 'Version' and use the arrow down directional key to change the region from '1' to '0'. | |||

The "8888" hack mentions above works! It's not phony. No, really, it's not! At least for the current serial numbers. I bet there's a macrovision hack too, I just wish someone could figure it out. I have no idea myself. | |||
