Warning! Koss216's firmware Bank30.rom is not compatible with the one of DMV4. Writing Koss216's firmware into DMV4 results in a fatal glitches as follows. 1)DMV4 can no longer read simple(non-authored) mpeg files copied on DVD disks from PCs. 2)DMV4 reacts wrongly against IR remote controllers of VCRs and TVs. | |||

at http://www.merconnet.com/faq.php you can find this: Why is my Nextbase not playing VCD's or some multiregion DVD's? On the month of August some units were having difficulties playing VCD's and multiregion DVD's. That problem can be fixed by downloading an upgrade file from here. Once the file is saved on your PC you must unzip it and put it into a CD. Then let it run on your Nextbase until the LCD turns off. The file should had fixed the problem. the link there is: http://www.merconnet.com/nextbasefiles/bank30.rom.zip Work perfectly...well, almost...lost the lcd display on the player...never looked at it anyhow...remote works perfectly and so do all menu functions...I even got a plus...OSD Language in Italo-Portu-Spanish...
