For Region Hack the MUSTEK DVD V560 you must access a secret menu. For accessing this menu you have to do the following: 1) make sure you don´t have any DVD inserted and Door Closed 2) IN remote control: 3) press SETUP 4) IN the Front Panel: 5) press NEXT 6) press STOP 7) press PAUSE/STEP 8) press PREV 9) press NEXT You should now see a new MENU. Go to Select Region and make your choice: - region 1 - region 2 - region 3 - region 4 - region 5 - region 6 - By Pass (=all regions) | |||

Press Setup. If that fails, then try this: Ensure the players tray is empty and closed. On the Remote Control press SETUP, then on the Players Front Panel, Press NEXT, STOP, PAUSE/STEP, PREV, NEXT. This unit came in a Mustek box but has a Yukai sticker on the unit itself. This is a region hack for firmware 2.02 On the remote press Setup Still on the remote press Next , Prev ,Next ,Prev You should now see VER # in the top right corner. Now just use the Up , Down buttons as usual to change your region number or 255 for all zones. | |||

Voxson 320 Australasia Believe this is a rebadged Mustek 560 This is the model bought from Dick Smith. Similar numbered model 330 can be bought from Target. Unlike the what can be found from the www.vcdhelp.com I found that to make this player region free one need to do the followig: Power on with no disc and door closed On the remote hit: Setup; next; prev; next; prev; next In the upper right hand corner the region code comes up. Use the arrow keys to change it to 255. Have tried 2 R1 discs so far. Scart RGB works fine. | |||

Start the DVD with no disc and press "setup" on the remote when the "No Disc" appears. On the front of the DVD press Next and Prev a couple of times until the menu appears in the upper right corner then choose 255, that's it | |||

The previous hack in this list is good for firmware v2.03 as well. Looks like Macrovision can only be fixed with a PIC hardware mod, or an external box. One that works well is a kit available from www.jaycar.com.au for $59 AUS. Does 2 current versions of Macrovision. Anyone got the pic code for the Mustek 560 ?? | |||

i have tried all of the hacks and it worked. but when i put in a dvd from canada it do not work and i have to shift to region 2 and the 1 with the dvd in, before i can watch a region 1 dvd. anybody knows why? | |||

MUSTEK V560 Easter Egg : GAMES ! Open the remote control. You'll see keys are identified by two numbers, ex: mute = 24-21 Use another key or some metallic thing to press key 5-17 then... OLD SCHOOL GAMES !! SNAKE, MINE and TETRIS. I cut the mute key and created the 5-17 game key. have fun and thanks for the region hack. nocivebrain | |||
