Bought it from Costco and got the region free hack to work using the same hack for MDP-1815 posted by Austin: INSTRUCTIONS TO CHANGE THE REGION CODE VIA REMOTE CONTROL; 1. POWER ON 2. PRESS ‘SET-UP’ BUTTON 3. SELECT THE ‘PREFERENCES’ MENU (PRESS CENTER ARROW BUTTON THIS IS THE ENTER BUTTON) 4. INPUT THE PASSWORD CODE 5. PRESS ‘LEFT’ AND ‘DOWN’ BUTTON (NOW THE SCREEN WILL SHOW ‘REGION CODE 1’) 6. PRESS NUMBER BUTTON (2 TO 6) TO CHANGE ZONE.
