	the same region code hack listed for other Memorex players works fine: 1. Turn on the Player. 2. Press the Open/Close button. 3. Press the Clear button. 4. Press 1,3,6,9. 5. Press the Region you want, 0 for Region free. 6. Turn off and on your player.

	this hack listed does NOT work, also tried 9 7 3 5 which also does NOT work. machine is mvd2040 'B' manufactured April 2007.

	Hi, I tried all the different methods that were posted but it is still not working. I have a memorex mvd-2040 "B", a newer model, I think they might of changed the hack, can anyone please find out how to crack it. Thanks.

	For MVD2040FLR"R" region 1, might not work with other 2040 models. Use remotes labeled MVD2047"M" or MVD2040-FLR"R" on the back: Open, setup, 9999. Press < or >, change to 255 for region free, Off.
