DVD 1000 1. Turn the machine on and ensure that there is no disc in the tray. 2. Cold start the player (method not given - see your manual). 3. Open the player's tray (Eject button). 4. Using the remote control, key in the following: 9, 9, 9, 9. 5. A hidden menu will appear. 6. You change regions by hitting the OK button. 7. Region 9 is the setting for region free. 8.
