Got this from reviewcenter.com forum (I think) passing along for others...I no longer have information on who provide but thanks to the unknown author! Defeat Macro the steps as follow: Turn on your DVD player, press MENU button on your remote control then go to DEFAULT and select RESET. There is some minor problem that you have to do it every time you turn on your player. | |||

I tried the 1111 hack, it worked and I have a few notes for anyone who wants to try it. After pressing 1111, nothing will change on the screen. So you won't know if it's worked until the next step. The next number you press will be the player's new region. Region 0 (Zero) will play any disc, so press 0. After that the screen will flicker and a message will say NEW REGIN 0 Voila. | |||

I don't have Magnavox DVD, but I have Philips DVD (same manufacturer). The 1111 + (Region Code) hack works from the remote. If you play PAL on NTSC, then you MUST select NTSC output from the DVD main menu setup. If the output is on 'auto' then you will get black and white, out-of-sync. I can confirm that the hack and PAL-NTSC conversion works flawlessly on my Philips DVD 724AT, so it should also work on Magnavox (made by Philips). | |||

after you do the 1111 and select region 0 go into the setup menu and change the display to ntsc. This will allow an american tv to display the movie. | |||
