	It is region-free out of the box, bought it in Toronto, Canada, the box indicated it is manufactured to play Region 1 DVDs, but it also works w/ my Region 3 DVDs. No codes or hacks needed in my case.

	Purshase a Magnasonic DVD816-4 at a local Canadian Tire store. With no hacking at all it's playing region 2 (europe) DVD's in PAL mode.
