	CODE-FREE Can be made Region Code-Free with this hack which seems to work with most Lite-On players/recorders (as I've seen it posted here several times for Lite-On players): ENGLISH Region free hack: 1)Press "Setup" on remote. 2)Scroll down and highlight "Exit" (bottom box in menu). 3)While "Exit" is highlighted enter 2,9,6, and 0 and press "Enter". 4)A hidden menu pops up and you can select your region. 5)Select "region free" 6)Exit Set-up menu Player is now Region Code-Free. GERMAN 1)Taste «Setup Menu» drücken 2)Cursor auf «EXIT» bewegen 3)Zahl «2960» eingeben mit «ENTER» bestätigen 4)Pfeil nach Rechts bewegen 5)Position «Codefrei» auswählen 6)Setup-Menu verlassen Player is now region Code-Free The above codes were copied/pasted from hacks posted here for other Lite-On players. 	Take a look at http://ilohacker.tripod.com/ with the autoeditor for ILO & Lite On Firmware files. It doesn't update the LP setting as that is a facility already available. I have tested it on the firmware file for the 5045 GDL+ and 5055 GDL+ (same file) with success being reported by the software in removing macrovision, with the regional code being decremented by 1. Good if you live in the USA. I haven't got my hands on a GDL+ unit and hope the remote control process of changing the region for the plain 5045 also works for these units. As I mentioned I haven't got my hands on a GDL+ machine yet so proceed with caution, or have a copy of the unhacked firmware available in case things don't go to plan.
