REGION CODE-FREE via Remote Control (This hack also works for other LiteOn players / recorders). Region free hack: 1) Press "Setup" on remote. 2) Scroll down and highlight "Exit" (bottom box in menu). 3) While "Exit" is highlighted enter 2,9,6, and 0 and press "Enter". (When I tested on this machine, did not have to press "Enter"). 4) A hidden menu pops up and you can select your region. 5) Select "region free" 6) Press "Setup" to exit Machine is now Region Code-Free. REGION CODE and MACROMEDIA FREE: 1) Download latest firmware. (No serial number was required for download) For USA, firmware at http://us.liteonit.com/us/index.php? option=com_wrapper&Itemid=153 For EU and England, firmware at http://62.58.201.212/eu/index.php? option=com_wrapper&Itemid=178 2) Use ILOHack1.5b at http://ilohacker.tripod.com/ to modify the firmware. 3) Follow the instructions in the ILOHack Notes file included in the download. 3) Click checkbox for Region Free (Do not select checkbox for LP mode). 4) US Firmware will be set to Region Free. Region code for EU and England firmware will be decremented by one. EU and England must use the Remote Control Hack to make their machines Region Free. Macromedia will be disabled for all. | |||
