This is too simple to believe, but its true! 1. Create a non-empty file called LG36868.IMG (for example using a text editor, then change the name to LG36868.IMG ) 2. Then You have to burn the LG36868.IMG file to a blank CD. 3. Insert the CD in your DVD Playerafter finish burning the CD. Press Play. 4. Then the region management menu will be shown. 5 If you input '0' and press 'pause key' by Remote Control, you will have a region-free DVD player! | |||

THANK YOU to whomever posed the above hack! It worked on my LG V290, which I feared was un-hackable. I just created a file using Notepad, copied in the text "LG36868.IMG" (without quotes, of course) and also saved the file as "LG36868.IMG"; then, as described, inserted it into my DVD player (it played automatically) and just hit "0" for the new region code, as requested by the on-screen menu. A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!! Thank you again, so very much!! | |||
