Because I cound`t find a hack for the V9850, I thought I`d try a hack from a similar model. So I used the hack from the 9800 model, and it worked! So one can use the same hack as below for the 9850: 1. Turn Player on with no disc inside 2. Set the Unit to DVD mode (Not VHS) 3. Turn Player OFF 4. Turn Player on with no disc inside 5. Press pause on the remote control (no menu or something like that appears) 6. Then key in 3 1 4 1 5 9 [Edit will then be displayed on the player display] 7. On the TV screen the Region Code management page will appear. 8. Key in desired Region number [0 for Auto Multi Region, or manually select 1 to 6] 9. Then Press Pause again 10. Turn off player and wait 5 seconds, then back on again. | |||
