In looking for the needed region code fix, there was none for my LG RCT699H. So, I took the one for the RCT689H and tried it. It worked perfectly. The only modification I would suggest is that when pushing the dvd eject button on the recorder and the "clear" button on the remote simultaneously, that you HOLD THEM DOWN together for a few seconds in order to enter the service menu.
