I don't know if this is a hack or not, but its a way to change the region code (area code) of the player. You enter the setup menu and go to the picture of the lock, then select the area code option which should be set to your own country code by default, CA for Canada and US for USA and so on. When you go to change this it will ask you for a password and you enter 0000 on the remote, it will ask you to enter again, so you enter 0000 again. Thats it! Now you can set the player to whatever region you wish to play a disc from. | |||

The above hack that you put on a CDR works. Actually, I burned to a DVD-RW and it worked. The disc loaded, and this screen came up: http://img258.imageshack.us/img258/3660/lra850regionux5.jpg Then I typed zero on the remote and the disc ejected itself. Now i can play NTSC or PAL! | |||
