The hack for this is exactly the same as for the LG DR-4912: 1. Turn on machine and open tray with remote. 2. Press 0 seven times on the remote. 3. You will now have a message confirming that your recorder is region free. Not sure whether it will be macrovision-free, but I doubt it. I own both the DR-4912s and the newer LGR435, and they are the same model, albeit one is black and the other silver. Both well worth the money!! | |||
