Get the files to create a CD with the unlocking soft here http://www.digitalfaq.com/downloads/dvdhackarchive/ and download the lg5000.zip file for LG DVD-5063/5083/5095/5183/5253/6053 or Get them from here http://lgregionfree.tripod.com/2005/menu1.htm and download the file 5000.zip by clicking on Combi Follow the instructions to burn the cd and it should work. Well it worked for me. For Firmware Check: (info taken from http://www.regionfreedvd.net/player/lg.html) 1. Press Setup button on the remote control. 2. Select TV Aspect. 3. Place the cursor on 16:9 wide. 4. Using the remote control, key in the following: 1, 3, 9, 7, 1, 3, 9. 5. Press Enter on the remote control. 6. Press "SETUP" to clear the information once read. The Chip I.D. should be MT1389 By doing this you also reset your player to factory default so don't do it again after using your region unlocker CD-R. | |||
