	The exact same hack as used for the LG LDA-830 also works with the LDA-831. Download the LG DVD hack (lg5000 zip file) from http://www.digitalfaq.com/downloads/dvdhackarchive/ Burn to a CD, put the CD in the DVD player and a region menu pops up, choose 0 for Region Free. Press Pause and then eject the CD. I have tested this with PAL & NTSC discs from Regions 1, 2, 3 and 4 and all work perfectly.

	The standard LG region utility works great on the LDA-831. Copied from Joel for the LDA-830: Go to: http://www.digitalfaq.com/downloads/dvdhackarchive/ Download the LG DVD hack (lg5000 zip file). Burn to a CD, put the CD in the DVD player and a region menu pops up, choose 0 for Region Free. Press Pause and then eject the CD.
