To unlock the dvd region on the FB 164 I followed basile60's steps but found somewhat different info on the screen while doing it. Here are my steps which worked: 1. Press "On" on the unit 2. "No disc" will appear 3. Press "pause" on remote 4. Press "1472" 5. Press "preset+" on remote three times to go to the fourth group of 2-digit alpha-numbers 6. Edit this 4th number group Note: the first of the 2 digits is the region code. Eg, if the 2 digits are "12" then the region is set to 1. If the 2 digits are "42" then the region is set to 4. So if you want all regions (code zero), set it to "02" by pressing 02 on the remote. Originally the 4th set of digits were “c9”. I pressed “02” on the remote to change the region from 4 to all. 7. When finished press "select/enter" 8. Press "pause" again to exit from the menu 9. Power off the unit and turn back on again. Thanks basile60 and The Major - now can watch the many discs I own from different regions. En español Para desbloquear las regiones / zonas del DVD en un LG FB164 1. Encender el televisor en la entrada de video correspondiente al DVD 2. Apretar "ON" en la unidad FB164 (encenderla) 3. Seleccionar la función DVD/Div X 4. Esperar a que aparezca el mensaje "No Disc" 5. Apretar "Pausa" en el control remoto 6. Apretar los números 1 4 7 2 en el control remoto 7. Apretar el botón "+" del preset del control remoto 3 veces (el de la derecha) para ir al 4to grupo de pares de números en mi caso es alfanumérico. 8. Editar el 4to grupo, presionando en el control remoto 02 para que pueda leer TODAS las regiones, en mi caso el valor original era C9 y de esta manera pase de zona 4 a multizona. 9. Una vez realizado el cambio a 02 apretar "Select/Enter" 10. Apretar "Pausa" nuevamente en el control remoto para salir del menú 11. Apagar y encender nuevamente el equipo para que se produzca el cambio. Listo, su equipo ya es MULTIZONA!!! | |||
