	Tried the CDR and remote hacks for other LG but doesn't seem to work. Also the box says Slot loading, but its a tray!

	It also should work for LG DK191H. 1: Switch on the player 2: Open the tray 3: Press "pause" button on the remote 4: Press "3" "1" "4" "1" "5" "9" on the remote 5: On the TV screen there should appear a menu for the region code. 6: Press "0" on the remote. 7: Press "pause" button on the remote. 8: Switch off the player and wait for a few seconds. 9: Switch on the player and HOPEFULLY it works.

	No Need for Region Hack, I just bought this dvd player from Bestbuy today and I throw in region 2, region 6 and region 3 dvd and it all play fines...

	Here is a proven hack for region free viewing; 1. Go to www.twoseconds.net/dvd/LG36868.IMG and download that file. 2. Burn that single file to a CDROM using the lowest speed possible. Faster 40x speeds would not work on my player. 3. Power up the DN191h and insert this cd 4. It will come up with a region selection screen within ~2min 5. Press 0 on the DVD remote Thats it! I tested with a BBC TV DVD and an American movie DVD.

	Actually, you do not have to download the file above... You just create a file named that in notepad and add the .IMG to the end... Make sure when you create the file in notepad, it is not blank... I just typed my name in the file and named it LG36868.IMG and burned it to a Cd as Data and put it in my dvd player and am now watching region two... Pretty Nifty...

	I had ordered a DVD online from UK (Region 1) and I'm in the US (Region 2). The remote control instructions posted above did not work for me at all after several attempts BUT - as instructed in the post above mine - creating a notepad file with a F-you to the DVD manufacturer written in it and SAVING it as LG36868.IMG then burning it at the slowest speed possible on a CD-R and throwing it in the player totally worked me!! Thank you poster above!!!

	I just tried the hack on a 3-4 year old USA LG player dn191h as RReyes described. Make sure not to try to load the file as a CD image file, just burn it to a CD-R normally, the file simply needs to exist on the CD. I burnt it on my computer at the slowest speed possible. Then I inserted it into the dvd player. Wait a few moments, and a screen should come up asking what region code you want. Punch in 0 and I think you click pause to exit. I tested using Boys from Brazil Region 2. It worked. Now that dvd player can play everything except blue-ray.
