LG DVD Player with DivX/DVD/CD/MP3/WMA/JPEG LG East - South-East Asia Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Korea,... etc... These models are NEW to set the region code: Region Free can be set via the remote control. 1. Remove disc and turn on DVD. 1. Wait until the message "no disc" appears 2. Press PAUSE 3. enter 314159 4. a Menu with the region code set page should appear. 5. Press 0 for region-free - multi region (1 for region 1, 2 for region 2, etc...) 6. Press PAUSE on the remote control again. 7. Power off the player for 5 seconds. 8. Power on the player. Firmware Mode and Info: There is some sort of editor for EEPROM options shown after factory reset code. This code was from other LG model hack. 1. Reboot the player without any disc inserted (open disc tray) 2. Press STOP 3. Press PAUSE 4. Press 1,4,7,2 5. Use LEFT/RIGHT to navigate 6. Press NUMBERS to brick your player. Push buttons 1-6 longer to get a-f (HEX) 7. Press PAUSE to exit | |||

This Hack worked for LG DV7711P Turn On DVD Player Remove any Disc in Player Close DVD Tray When "NO DISC" appears on TV Screen, Press "PAUSE" Button once on Remote Control Key in 314159 on Remote Control The screen turns Blue with REGION Information on screen Press "0" (zero) on Remote Controll to select All Regions Press "PAUSE" on Remote Control, this Stores new Region Setting Power Off the DVD PLayer for 5 seconds Power On the DVD Player and insert your DVD Your LG DV7711P Player should now play ALL REGION DVD's ENJOY Darren (IN OZ) | |||
