This is a hack that works for the LG DF8900P. It is the same as many other LG models. 1. Power on the player with no disc. 2. Wait for the "No Disc" message to appear on the TV (not the player). 3. Press Pause on the remote. 4. Press 3, 1, 4, 1, 5, 9 on remote. 5. Press 0 (region free) on the remote (or any other region number you want). You'll see the number on the player's display. 6. Press Pause on the remote. 7. Power off the player. 8. Wait a minute. 9. Power on. Repeat steps if not successful. You need to enter the numbers quickly. | |||

Darwin Calling Unit - LG DF8901P LG Website states "LG DVD products are not multi-zoned. They are set for region 4 only." Several Posters in other fora state the RCs cannot be changed so just buy another DVD player and run several together. One Poster suggested the following procedure Power on "Open" on Remote "0" keyed in slowly 7 times - during this process the EEPROM code and RC will come up on the TV screen. During one of the "0" it will change to the requested RC "Enter" key on Remote Power cycle DVD Player It worked. I tested the process by repeating it and the RC was set to 0 |
