I tried this on my US player with the presently current BD8.294.00/H12SON0410 firmware, (There haven't been any updates in a long time.) The instructions should say that you go to "Area Code" on the Lock menu. I tried AU, UK, and DE with Region 1 and 2 DVDs and Zone A BD. Changing the letters there does the change the value on the screen, but it does not seem to affect the behavior of the player for DVD or BD playback. In all cases the 1/A disc played and the 2 disc did not. I don't have any B or C BDs to try. Maybe there's another setting to change? It doesn't look like it works to me. :-( | |||
