	I've got the LG 6054 region free using the LG 6188 hack. 1. Downloaded the file from: http://mypage.bluewin.ch/a-z/chaos-kitties/downloads/RMTM0000.sit (the file's 4kb big/small) 2. unpacked the RMTM0000.sit file with "StuffIt Standard Edition 8.0" (http://www.aladdinsys.com/downloads/index.html) Trail version. 3. Burned the whole DIR (RMTM0000) to a CD using Nero Burning ROM (ISO Level 1, Mode 1, ISO 9660) 4. Inserted the burned CD into the dvd, wait for the menu on the LCD of the dvd. 5. Pressed "0" then "PAUSE", turned the dvd OFF 6. That's it !!!, REGION FREE.

	Works great - but make sure that you select the file specific to the LG6054, as the file LG5000.ZIP only worked for the LG5XXX DVD line. For verification, the right file to use for the LG6054 is kpjc19_1, size=1kB, dated 02/04/2003 1:37AM, in the subdirectory Scarlet in the directory RMTM0000 Good luck.

	Hi, I tried this method. The message "code 0" was shown on the display of the dvd. I have to assume it worked. I can't try it because I don't have a dvd from another region yet. I wanted to give it a try though before I buy a dvd on the internet, which I will do now. Thanks Panthro.

	As described above, it works. I did it burning the directory with an old version of Easy CD Creator. I assume therefor that using Nero with the format as specified by Panthro isn't really necessary. You can use any burning program you want. In the mean time I hacked 3 LG6054 DVD players. When inserting a region 1 DVD in the 2nd and 3rd of my originally region 2 LG6054 DVD players, I only had black/white pictures, while for the first one it all worked fine. There's nothing wrong, just hold the PAUSE button on the DVD player for 5 seconds, and select the right TV mode (PAL, NTCS of AUTO). See also your users guide.

	Hi, I bought a LG 6054 DVD player. I tried to install the Stuffit Standard Edition 8.0, but I have some troubles with it. After installation the trial version mention this: The file MSVCRT.DLL has been conected to a wrong output: NTDLL.DLL:RtlGetNtVersionNumbers I have the Dutch version of WIN98 installed on my PC. Isn't there another possibility to hack my DVD player. Or is it possible to deliver the files to burn on the CD in an other way?? Greets, Jeroen

	Thanx to Anders from Sweden, I now have a region free DVD player. He sent me the files only zipped with WINZIP.
