When you reprogram a new region there should be no disc inside the unit. - Point the remote controller to the unit and press POWER - Wait until "No Disc" appears in the unit's display - Press sequentlally in the remote controller the keys PAUSE 3 1 4 1 5 9. "CODE" will appear in the display - Within 5 seconds, press once the number key that corresponds to the disc region you want to play: 0 - All Regions 1 - Region 1 2 - Region 2 3 - Region 3 4 - Region 4 5 - Region 5 6 - Region 6 - Within 5 seconds press sequentlally in the remote controller the keys PAUSE and POWER. The unit will turn off leaving the new region programmed - If it doesn't work, disconnect the unit, connect it again and repeat the steps - If no keys are pressed within 5 seconds in step 6 or 7 the set will get out of the programm mode. Hi, I have a LG 5812N and this hack works prefect, how a see the top hack is the seem for my DVD Player, I thought that maybe this hack work. For play VCD's and SVCD's do this with no disc in the DVD player: 1.-) Press "Power" 2.-) Press "Pause" 3.-) Press the numbers "1 4 7 2" You'll see a blue screen with white letters. 4.-) Press three times the "Up" key. You will see the 4th byte, with two letters, in my case (4 dc) 5.-) Press "Program 4, Program 5" the letters will change to "fe" like this (4 fe). 6.-) Press "Enter" 7.-) Press "Power" And that's all. Now you will see a VCD's. ----------------------------------------------------- For SVCD's Change the letters of 7th byte for "FE". (7 FE).
