Since the Jamo DVR-50 and the Kiss 470 seem to be identical, I tried the Kiss 450/500 region code hack which can be found under the following link: http://www.firmware-flash.com/~hijacker/kiss/ Worked fine for me: no tools required, just followed "Method 1" and burned the ISO files (looked up "ISO" in my CD burning software) on a CD-R. Used the file for "all Toshiba Models" and discovered myself, that remote keycode to the hidden menu is differnet for the 470 model: load-info-2-7-6. My Kiss-470 DVD receiver had the M1712 DVD drive inside and the firmware rev. 2.7.7. | |||

This hack works for KiSS DP-470 players with Toshiba DR-1802 drives (and any other KiSS players that use this drive). http://www.mpcclub.com/modules.php?name=Downloads ... cid=18#cat You have to register with this forum (it's free). Download the file (rpc1.zip) Unzip the file, burn the image and insert the disc in the player. Follow the on-screen instructions and when the update is complete, turn the player off using the button on the front. Turn the player back on press LOAD, INFO, 2-7-6. Change REGION to ALL and press LOAD. The firmware on my player was 2.7.8 | |||
