If you want to play SVCD and VCD ect.. you will need to update your Kiiro's firmware.You can either call them and they will email it to you after your personal datails and your players serial are given to them or download it from this link... http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DVDhacks/files/X8.zip The zip file contains instuctions and the update. | |||

When you call Kiiro, they do state not to distribute the file to any other sources. But hey! This is the internet, of course that's gonna happen. Just there way of keeping track of who's using SVCD & VCD's in their players. | |||

This is borrowed from the X5 but it works exactly the same way! Its a nice and simple way to get into the manufacturer menu screen. In here you can make it multi region and, if you have updated the firmware (which can be downloaded from the zip file mentioned previously), you can turn the macorvision off. 1.Turn the player on. 2.Press eject. 3.On the remote press set up. 4.Then press STOP,BACK,FORWARD ( back and forward are the ones located under the stop button ). 5.You are in.....enjoy. | |||
